This is the 37th post in a series called 30 Second Tips. My goal is to show you how to do some neat stuff in 30 seconds or less!
Apple has introduced a handy new feature in iOS 6 (iPhone & iPad) and Mountain Lion (Mac) that gathers up messages from the important people in your life and puts them in a central place. This makes it easy to find the messages that you really care about.
Note: You must have iOS 6 installed on your iPhone or iPad. I have written instructions on how to upgrade if you have not already done so.
To get started open the Mail app on your iOS device.
To designate someone as a VIP, tap the blue-and-white arrow at the right edge of the VIP item.
Tap Add VIP.
Choose the person in your contacts list. (The person must already be in your contacts list for you to add them as a VIP.)
Now when you receive email from someone that you have designated as a VIP it will show up in the special VIP mailbox as well as the inbox.
