Home Screens - Jeff Achen

This is the 9th post in a series called Home Screens. David Sparks over at MacSparky has been doing this for a long time and I thought it would be interesting to ask my friends, family, and former co-workers what is on their Home Screens!

Jeff Achen is currently an interactive media strategist for Minnesota Philanthropy Partners, a network of philanthropic people and organizations that includes The Minnesota Community Foundation, The Saint Paul Foundation, and GiveMN.org. He also owns and operates his own video production/photography company and occasionally serve as a consultant to a wide range of organizations, both for-profit and nonprofit, in the area of multimedia, communications and social media strategy.

What are your most interesting home screen apps?

Keeper Password & Data Vault, Snapseed, ProPrompter, The Early Edition 2 & Zite

What is your favorite app?

It’s tough to choose, but I’d have to go with Snapseed. I could spend hours playing with photos on my iPad using Snapseed.

Which app is your guilty pleasure?

IDW Comic books app. I’m a G.I. Joe fanatic!

What is the app you are still missing?

Am I missing an app!? Oh, this can’t be right…

How many times a day do you use your iPad?

At least 5-6 times a day. I check email, read news, check my to-do list using the ToDo app, watch TV shows on my lunch break and read stories to my daughter at night.

What is your favorite feature of the iPhone/iPad?

How, like so many Apple products, it just works smoothly and integrates with my other computers and my life so seamlessly.

If you were in charge at Apple, what would you add or change?

I’d make an iPad phone. How awesome would it be to make calls on your iPad? (Yes I know there are ways to do that, but I’m thinking of a more intentional integration of phone and pad)

Anything else you’d like to share?

I’m on Twitter. I already “share” too much. : )
