This is the 13th post in a series called Home Screens. David Sparks over at MacSparky has been doing this for a long time and I thought it would be interesting to ask my friends, family, and former co-workers what is on their Home Screens!

What are your most interesting home screen apps?
My most interesting apps are: Google Latitude (cleaner version of maps), Aeroweather (pilots app of choice), Demon Cam - this is a fun one because you can record you or your friends and warp them into demons in the video. Hours of good fun!
What is your favorite app?
My favorite app is Square. It comes with a free credit card swipe for your iPhone / iPad and allows you to instantly take credit card transactions and link to your bank account. This is a true asset if you charge for services and have a Paypal business account already set up. Just plug in, swipe, and send a receipt. You can also use this to to let people donate money to causes on the fly.
Which app is your guilty pleasure?
Doodle Jump, and a little bit of 777 Poker
What is the app you are still missing?
Unfortunately I can't impart that information, as it is being explored in development.
How many times a day do you use your iPhone?
I live on my iPhone - I probably send over 4000 text messages a month. I've found that most of my business contacts prefer to communicate that way (even CEO's, V.P. of marketing, president, owners, etc)
It's quite possible I look at it more than I view my surroundings.
What is your favorite feature of the iPhone?
Generic response here: The operating system. It is the single thing keeping me from using a different phone. As an ex Apple store manager and a hard Kool-Aid drinker, I live on the Apple OS and love it.
If you were in charge at Apple, what would you add or change?
iPad - I would develop a Macbook Pro with a removeable screen which happens to be an iPad. The device would have to allow it do dock and display the full operating system of the computer and be useable as the iPad upon taking it with you.
iPhone - slimmer design. Also, I realize biometrics made its appearance and dies off mid 2000's I think that with the increased level of threat around personal security that there should not be an option to put in a digit password on the phone. It should be a fingerprint upon set up of the device. This could easily make life simpler across all internet related keychain passwords and phone functions.
Apple may want to look at what Corning has developed in the world of completely chip set integrated glass for touch walls, phones, tables, etc.
Anything else you’d like to share?
I will never deviate back to the Windows platform. The Droids and HTC phones however are slimmer (at the moment), have different cool features and currently can do everything the iPhone can.
I don't really care that the App Store has a million more options because I'll never use them. I usually download an app because someone recommends it or it has been written up as having some gleaming quality that can enhance my experience or life. Most of the app store will simply distract me and degrade my life.
