30 Second Tips - Safari Reader

This is the 13th post in a series called 30 Second Tips. My goal is to show you how to do some neat stuff in 30 seconds or less!

Apple has included a feature in Safari that will make reading articles online much easier. This tip will work on your Mac and any iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch running iOS 5.

I will demonstrate this tip on all of the above devices.

On the iPad

Open Safari on your iPad and find an article you would like to read. Tap on the Reader button in the address bar.

Safari will strip away the ads and show you the article in a very easy to read format.

When you are done reading the article just tap on the Reader button once again to continue surfing the web.

On the iPhone and iPod Touch

Open Safari on your iPhone and iPod Touch and find an article you would like to read. Tap on the Reader button in the address bar.

Safari will strip away the ads and show you the article in a very easy to read format.

When you are done with the article click on Done button in the upper right.

On the Mac

Open Safari on your Mac and find an article you would like to read. Tap on the Reader button in the address bar.

When you are done with the article you can press the Escape key on the keyboard or press on the X at the bottom of the article.
