This is the 17th post in a series called Home Screens. David Sparks over at MacSparky has been doing this for a long time and I thought it would be interesting to ask my friends, family, and former co-workers what is on their Home Screens!
Elaine Pedley is an 18 year old who identifies herself as a strong Christian. She just recently moved back to Minnesota from Hawaii, where she had been living for 3 1/2 months. Elaine enjoys surfing, going on adventures, and hanging out with the people that she loves.
What are your most interesting home screen apps?
I've chosen to only have 4 apps on my home screen, because I like to be able to see the background. As far as interesting apps, I have Surfline, which I used everyday when I lived in Hawaii, it tells me how big the waves are on the beaches I lived by. I still check it now and then, just to see what I'm missing out on. I also have Whatsapp, which I use to keep in touch with all of my friends in Sweden, it allows me to text them without any international fees.
What is your favorite app?
My favorite app? Instagram. I just recently jumped on the Instagram wagon and I'm already obsessed with it.
Which app is your guilty pleasure?
My guilty pleasure app is Stumbleupon. Anytime I'm bored, I whip it out. I probably use it at least 5 times a day.
What is the app you are still missing?
I don't have Draw Something, though just about everybody that I know has it, and is trying to convince me to get it.
How many times a day do you use your iPhone?
I literally use my phone all day everyday. It's always in my pocket. I love having the Internet with me at all times, it's super convenient.
What is your favorite feature of the iPhone?
I'm not sure that I have a favorite feature, I really just like the whole thing.
If you were in charge at Apple, what would you add or change?
I wouldn't change much. I used to wish that there was a button I could press that would stop my screen from flipping when I flipped my phone. Then I found out that there is a button like that, I've just been oblivious for the past year.
Anything else you’d like to share?
Oh! And I want to add that the MLB At Bat app is not mine. I went to the beach with my guy a few weeks ago and he couldn't handle missing the Braves game, so he watched it on my iPhone.
