Home Screens - Charlie Welsh

This is the 20th post in a series called Home Screens. David Sparks over at MacSparky has been doing this for a long time and I thought it would be interesting to ask my friends, family, and former co-workers what is on their Home Screens!

Charlie Welsh just finished his masters degree in sports psychology. He is a college football coach at a D3 school. He enjoys attending, playing, and watching sports. The last two summers he coached and played football over in Austria, while also traveling in Germany and Switzerland.

What are your most interesting home screen apps?

Since it is summer time right now I would have to say The Weather Channel app. This allows you to see the current and future weather. I love to spend as much time outside as I can in the summer: whether boating on the lake, playing golf or softball, grilling, having a bonfire, or just hanging out.

What is your favorite app?

My favorite app currently would be ESPN ScoreCenter because I check scores of any sport or team I want. Also, ESPN Fantasy Baseball 2012 because I can look at how my team is doing and also make last second changes. This was a great app for me when I was traveling in Europe. It allowed me to stay connected to my favorite teams.

Which app is your guilty pleasure?

I am currently hooked on two games right now. Words with Friends and Draw Something because I can play several games and people at the same time.

What is the app you are still missing?

Only app I am missing currently would be something for my bank. I kow my bank has something but I just need to download it.

How many times a day do you use your iPhone/iPad?

I am on my phone all the time for work checking and replying to emails or texts. At home my PC laptop gets very little use anymore because I can do everything on my iPhone or my iPad now. Only time it get any use is for working at home.

What is your favorite feature of the iPhone/iPad?

Allows me to multitask and I can stay connected to everyone and everything if I want to from where ever I am.

If you were in charge at Apple, what would you add or change?

If I was in charge at Apple...this is a good question...I really can't think of anything off the top of my head right now.
