30 Second Tips - Screenshots (Mac)

This is the 47th post in a series called 30 Second Tips. My goal is to show you how to do some neat stuff in 30 seconds or less!


Did you know that you can take a screenshot of what is on your Mac's screen?

To take a screenshot of the entire screen you press down in the following order: Command + Shift + 3

The screen shot will show up on your desktop. It will be called Screen Shot YEAR-MONTH-DAY at HOUR.MINUTE.SECOND AM/PM.

To take a screenshot of a portion of the screen you press down in the following order: Command + Shift + 4.

Your mouse cursor will become a crosshair. Draw a box around what you want to take a screenshot of.

The screenshot will appear on your desktop like in the previous example.
