Before you tap on Download & Install, I would encourage you to plug your device into a power source. You wouldn't want to have your battery die in the middle of an update.

After you have plugged into a power source tap Download & Install.

Click on Continue to move to the next screen.

On this screen you can setup a passcode. Use the digits 0 through 9 to create your 4 digit passcode. YOU DO NOT NEED TO SETUP A PASSCODE. IF YOU THINK YOU MIGHT FORGET IT, I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU CHOOSE DON'T ADD PASSCODE. IF YOU DO FORGET YOUR 4 DIGIT PASSCODE, NO ONE CAN RESET IT FOR YOU. YOU WOULD HAVE TO ERASE YOUR IPAD TO CONTINUE USING IT!

Click on Add Passcode if you have yet to enter a passcode or click Continue to move forward without a passcode.

Click on Get Started to start your journey with iOS 7!
